The Legacy: Kids, space workshops & an Astronaut Who gave the change!

✨ Some moments you don’t forget. This week gave me several.
Let me tell you about two that stayed with me long after the lights went off:

1- Friday — PechaKucha Night at the Swiss Hanok, Seoul.
400 seconds per speaker. 20 slides. 20 seconds each. A format that forces you to get to the point — and to make it count.

The opening storyteller? Dr. Soyeon Yi — the first Korean #astronaut, and one of very few women to have flown to space. She spoke about the role of women in the space sciences, about breaking through barriers that were never meant to be broken, and about why the #nextgeneration must be part of this story.

2- And then came the weekend and the experience of what #LEGACY can be ?
While the grown-ups were debating #orbitalmechanics and #Earthobservation sensors, a group of kids in Seoul were discovering the world of Space and its learnings🚀

Thanks to #CHASM — the Community of Human Analogue Space Missions — and the incredible support of the #NCCulturalFoundation, a hands-on youth workshop brought students face to face with Elias M. , #Mariamartini, and Eleonore Cassandra Poli, who guided them through an analog space mission #simulation and model #rocket construction.

Watch a child hold a rocket they built with their own hands. Watch their face. That is legacy!! 🤗 🫶

This is the part of innovation weeks that rarely makes the headlines — but it might be the most important part. Because the engineers, the astronauts, the mission designers of 2045 are sitting in classrooms right now! 📣 Events like this plant the seed ! 🫶

For Lausanne Montreux Congress and #SpaceCitiesNetwork, this is what “supporting the space ecosystem” actually means: it starts with curiosity, and it starts young.

Thank you to the entire Swiss-Korean Innovation Week team, to Science & Technology Office Seoul (Swissnex ) Korea, Embassy of Switzerland in the Republic of Korea and to everyone who made these three extraordinary days possible. 🙏
